Have questions? Belinda Basca, our Director of Curriculum Customer  Support (that’s her in the picture!) has the answers! Here are some answers to our most-asked questions.

 

How do I log in to Science Companion Prime?

  1. Go to sciencecompanionprime.com
  2. Enter the username and password that was provided to you. If a password has been provided for you, you’ll have the option to change this later on (see My Settings).
  3. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be taken to the dashboard.

How do I create a new class?

  1. Click on Manage in the main menu.
  2. Click the Add a Class button
  3. Name the class and click Save

How do I add new students?

  1. Click on Manage in the main menu.
  2. Click the Students tab.
  3. Click Add Students at the bottom of the page.
  4. Fill out the required information for each new student.
  5. Click Save.

How do I add students to a class?

Note: You must first create a class and create students before you can add them to a class.

  1. Click on Manage in the main menu
  2. In the Classes area, select an existing class from the dropdown menu.
  3. Once you select a class, you’ll see the class roster on the left and a list of all available students on the right.
  4. Select a student you want to add to the class and click Add.

Can I import all my students automatically?

Yes, please click the Import Students button at the bottom of the student window. This will give you instructions for creating a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file containing student information to import.

How to I see what students are part of a class?

  1. Click “Manage” in the main menu.
  2. In the classes tab, select the class you want to view from the dropdown menu.
  3. The students assigned to that class will appear in the class roster area.
  4. Use the Add and Remove buttons to assign and remove students from a class.

Why doesn’t my student see any assignments when they log on?

There are two reasons a student will not see any assignments. Assignments have not been made in the “Student Tools” area you are teaching or this student is not part of a class where assignments have been made.

Where do I go for additional questions or to report a problem with using Prime?
